This 20-hour Restorative training is open to yoga instructors interested in expanding their offerings & knowledge, as well as to keen individuals interested in deepening their understanding of their nervous system & ways to regulate their response to stress. Join Yoga Therapist, Chelsea Lee, for this deeply relaxation, informative and healing weekend. Learn technique to improve nervous system resiliency & functionality in a fun, open minded environment.

The intention of Restorative Yoga is to:
– improve nervous system resiliency & functionality
– stimulate parasympathetic nervous system
– reduce symptoms that cause discomfort or pain
– create the conditions for healing and regulating the sympathetic nervous system
– create the possibility for resting and learn stillness

Topics covered:
– Anatomy of the Autonomic Nervous System (Parasympathetic & Sympathetic Nervous System) & Polyvagal Theory
– Energetics of Restorative Yoga from an Eastern perspective
– Principles of restorative asana (setting up props, variations, modifications & benefits)
– Language & cuing restorative asana
– Breathing & meditation techniques focused on relaxation
– Manual “enhancements” for restorative postures
– Sequencing Restorative Yoga classes

Individual Yin or Restorative Weekends Trainings:
