Billy Walker-Wavell

Billy has worked as a physiotherapist since he graduated in 2006 from the University of East London, UK. He has a special interest in manual therapy (Mulligan method), orthopaedics, rehabilitation, sports injuries, injury prevention, therapeutic exercise, and Yoga therapy.
Billy started his own personal Yoga practice and study in 2010. While in private practice here in Squamish, as a result of working with and treating competitive athletes and Yoga practitioners wishing to achieve better alignment, he developed a unique method.

In 2012, to further enhance his Yoga and meditation practice, Billy spent 3 months studying the Ashtanga lineage in Mysore, India, subsequently going on to study Yoga therapy methods at the Himalayan Iyengar Centre.

In 2015, Billy completed 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training in the Restorative
Alignment Method in Oaxaca, Mexico. More recently, he completed 200 additional hours of training in the Art and Sacred Science of Yoga here at North Yoga.

Moreover, Billy is a Functional Range Conditioning Movement Specialist; he incorporates this approach into his treatment plans, thereby guiding his clients towards achieving their goals.

Lastly, when not working, Billy enjoys playing with his son, trail running, mountain biking, sailing, kite surfing, climbing, and skiing.
